Weblog Metadata Initiative: Summary

I've been ignoring the WMDI project for a while ... I wonder what people have been talking about on the forum while I've been away.

2002-08-30 - 2002-09-02: David Janes has a tool that extracts various things from people's HTML

2002-09-02: NZ Bear, David Janes talk about the conceptual data model and how to represent it with RDF, RSS etc. Shelley Powers drops in to share some of the things she's found out working on ThreadNeedle (TN discussion).

2002-09-12: David Janes has a web front end for his tool (example)

Those look like the important bits.

Hmm ... I wonder how much of this has been done in the various RSS (1.0 and 2.0) modules. Time to go have a look at them.
