Phillip Pearson - web + electronics notes

tech notes and web hackery from a new zealander who was vaguely useful on the web back in 2002 (see: python community server, the blogging ecosystem, the new zealand coffee review, the internet topic exchange).

Interesting URL from my referrer log

Hmm ... what's Martin up to?

It looks like a news aggregator (or RSS renderer, as the case may be) in debug mode, with a nice hierarchical display for unknown tags. Interesting. You can see that my RSS 0.94 feed's guid and comment tags are new to it. I wonder what it will do if you give it RSS 1.0 ;-)

Update: Read the comments for Martin's reply.

bzero bug fix

bzero was pinging Salon's RCS for all bzero blogs, rather than pinging the local community servers. Oops. As such, my stats will be somewhat off, and my referrers include some hits that were actually on zia.

Fixed version available from the homepage now.

Another UserLand-hosted community server in the pipeline?

Just like this server, only with a different focus -- a place, by the looks of things.

Finding the URL of the new community server (and my one-post blog on it ;) is left as an exercise for the reader.
