More on Google

I checked the monthly site stats for dev.myelin.co.nz today and found that it's caught 1395 Google searches so far since the 1st of September. Wow. That's what caching blogs gets you. What I think is happening is that a lot of the blogs and stats pages I'm caching have fairly obscure names, and they're catching the odd search requests.

I bet most of the people searching for ecosystem aren't looking for info on links between blogs ;)

At the same time, myelin.co.nz still doesn't appear to be in the database.

No camera for me

After hearing all the favourable press, I ordered myself a Casio Exilim EX-S1 digital camera, but cancelled the order today because it was taking so long. I ordered a month ago, but the daily backorder notifications I'm getting still say "TBA".

I don't blame the supplier though; they're always very quick and reliable. The other websites won't get them in for ages either. Living in New Zealand has its downsides sometimes.

On the upside, this means that I'll be able to get myself an EX-S2 instead - it's the 2 megapixel version that is coming out next month. Nice. Apparently it's going to come out at the same price ($299.99, according to that link).
