comp.lang.emacs. tchrist would more likely have written "When faced with a
problem, some people think 'but if I use regular expressions, I'll have two
problems!' Script babies aren't welcome in the Republic of Perl." <wink>.

To be fair, the timbot would have written "When faced with a problem, some
people think. Now they have three problems."

Seb Paquet has been complaining for ages that the Topic Exchange doesn't make it easy to go back in time and see what people have been saying. I've finally fixed this problem by giving every topic page a calendar, like the ones you see in this weblog. The days link to day archive pages, and the months link to the first or last day in the month, depending whether you're going backwards or forwards.

So go have a look. At the Emergent Democracy channel, for example, which has been fairly active recently. I think I need to have a 'recent changes' page, or a calendar for the whole site, so help distinguish between 'most recently active' and 'most active overall' (where Directorio Blogs Hispanos is leading by miles).
