PyCS search

Just got a FreeBSD install up and running locally so I can figure out why the PyCS search engine doesn't clean up after itself on that OS. (Works fine on Linux AFAIK).

So far I've verified that the behaviour shown on the remote server happens here too. Now adding more debugging so I can catch it (and return more meaningful errors for people who get the install wrong).

(Now waiting for it all to compile ... ht://Dig is a LOT of C++. The way this is going, it would have been faster to copy the binaries from the other server than build them here!)

(OK, now it's compiled and done a crawl, so I can test it.)
