Phillip Pearson - web + electronics notes

tech notes and web hackery from a new zealander who was vaguely useful on the web back in 2002 (see: python community server, the blogging ecosystem, the new zealand coffee review, the internet topic exchange).

Eigenradio

Eigenradio: "If you took a bunch of music and asked it, "Music, what are you, really?" you'd hear Eigenradio singing back at you. When you're tuned in to Eigenradio, you always know that you're hearing the latest, rawest, most statistically separable thing you can possibly put in your ear.

"What you hear on Eigenradio is the best of the New Music, distilled and de-correlated."

Of course, the unwashed masses are ranting about Orwellian futures and complaining that the website doesn't have any real information instead of seeing it as the clever hack that it is. Guys. This is not meant to be taken seriously!

Weather in Christchurch, New Zealand

Jeff's Home Weather Station - temp, rainfall, wind speed and direction (from Jeff Northcott's home-made station).

Weather at Westlake, Halswell. Using a WM918/WX200 weather station.

Weather at Avonside. ALso using a WM918/WX200 weather station.

Weather Underground: Christchurch. This site has lots of weather station information too.

Weather links - weather stations around the country.

Also: NZCity, Yahoo, CNN.

Finally, lots of detail from NOAA (and a satellite image).

(Why am I looking at this? I've been painting a gate today and the temperature needs to be over 10 deg C for the paint to dry. Not looking good ...)
