Phillip Pearson - web + electronics notes

tech notes and web hackery from a new zealander who was vaguely useful on the web back in 2002 (see: python community server, the blogging ecosystem, the new zealand coffee review, the internet topic exchange).

bzero 0.18 out; now works with Python 2.3

As the title says, you can now download bzero version 0.18. I'm now making builds for Python 2.2 and 2.3, so download the one for your interpreter version.

This does lots of new stuff - most notably the search engine support is in there, so after posting a couple of times you should see a search box appearing in the top left-hand corner of your blog.

It also now supports the Topic Exchange, so you can put a line like this below the %title line and get it to ping some Topic Exchange channels:

%ite test, social_software

(that will ping the test and social_software channels).

There's a new user on pycs.net, too: Allan Wilson. He's running bzero on Windows XP with Python 2.3.

Enjoy!
